'Question/Request Last year - and I think earlier as well - the "international people", so non-german-speakers were simply ignored during the camp. During the "offical" program as well as in informal situtaions, german was the default language, nobody asked around if someone needs a translation. We - non-german speaking people - had to put a strong pressure to force people even just to think about translation which psychologically results in feeling disabled, useless, secondary and inconvenient, being a problem for other people. Even some cases people asked but in german! and didn't even wait until someone would answer anything. It is the responsibility - at least from my point of view, who don't speak german - to pay attention and take other people into account. Even if someone doesn't speak english very well, might try, cause in most of the cases when people say they don't speak english it means they are not fluent, and their english is lot better than the german of those who don't speak german at all of course. Of course english is imperial etc but this is a common language for many of us, so I just want to ask everyone to pay attention if there is a need for translation and if there is someone who would translate. Also if it should be simultaneous - which means the people who get the translation cannot really take part actively in the discussion - or waiting for the translation.

we know, that this has been a problem and because of that we try to write down every information also in ::english. as we see the camp we, as the organisationgroup, can't "force" the germanspeakers to speak english. ::maybe it would be good to print this text on the camp and stick it to the bathroom door etc. to remember the ::people about the above mentioned facts.

From Waidhofen/Thaya follow the signs to Kautzen. At the end of the road of kautzen, turn right in direction of Tiefenbach(follow the signs). On the road between Kautzen and Tiefenbach, after the first big bent in the forest a small way leads down to the camp on the left side.

If you come by bike, expect some smaller hills.

IV. Anarkiisma Somera Tendaro (2009) (Deutsch)

"Das anarchistische Sommercamp 2009 in Österreich soll Menschen aus unterschiedlichen Orten, Gegenden und mit verschiedensten Erfahrungen und Hintergründen zusammenbringen, um ein befreites Leben zu erproben."

Es gab letztes Jahr wohl für viele Menschen, die nicht oder nur schlecht Deutsch sprechen Probleme, da vieles nicht übersetzt wurde. Bitte denkt dran Englisch zu sprechen, wenn nichtdeutschsprechende Menschen anwesend sind, und wennmöglich übersetzt auch bitte. Es geht nicht darum, fehlerfreies Englisch zu sprechen, wofür mensch in der Schule ne gute Note bekäme, sondern sich irgendwie zu verständigen - und das können wohl die meisten deutschsprechenden Menschen besser in Englisch als umgekehrt ;)

Anfahrt mit Auto/Rad:

Von Waidhofen/Thaya kommst, folge den Schildern nach Kautzen. Dort angekommen bis zum Ende der Straße und dann ::den Schildern nach rechts in Richtung Tiefenbach folgen. Das Camp ist zwischen Kautzen und Tiefenbach. Du ::findest es nach der ersten großen Kurve im Wald auf der linken Seite. Dort geht ein kleiner Weg bergab.

Falls du mit dem Rad kommst, stell dich auf einige kleinere Hügel ein.

Accessibility

In principle, the camp has the aim to give all people the possibility to participate. But neither the location nor the camp itself come close to achieve this aspiration. If you want to come, please contact us and we will try what we can do. On site, everybody should feel responsible for impediments of accessibility.

Accessibility for people with wheel chairs: Big parts of the camp are open air. The ground can become quite muddy if it rains, which is quite probable. We will try this year to make movement with wheelchairs easier through the use of plastic tarpaulins. Although almost all of the rooms are on the ground floor, most of them are divided through steps. Maybe we will try to build some ramps. Toilets and showers are not really accessible, but will try to see what can be done here, too. There are a couple of (bunk) beds in the house but they are a bit low.

Barrierefreiheit

Im Grunde hat das camp den Anspruch, dass alle Menschen die Möglichkeit haben mitzumachen. Diesen Ansprüchen kann allerdings weder das Gelände noch das camp auch nur annähernd genügen. Falls du kommen möchtest und wir dir das irgendwie erleichtern können, kannst du dich gerne melden und wir können sehen was sich machen lässt. Vor Ort selbst sollten sich alle dafür verantwortlichen fühlen.

Barrierefreiheit für Menschen mit Rollstühlen: Große Teile des camps finden im freien statt. Der erdige Untergrund kann bei zu erwartendem Regen durchaus matschig werden. Dieses Jahr wird versucht mit Plastikplanen das bewegen mit Rollstuhl am Gelände zu erleichtern. Obwohl so gut wie alle Räume ebenerdig sind, sind große Teile der Räume durch Stufen voneinander getrennt. Vielleicht wird noch versucht einzelne Rampen zu bauen. Toiletten und Duschen sind nicht wirklich barrierefrei, aber auch hier werden wir schauen was sich noch machen lässt. Im Haus gibts es einige (Stock-)betten die allerdings etwas niedrig sind.
